Linden Lab to Remove 30% Employees


According to recent development, Linden Lab is going through "strategic restructuring". Linden Lab is a Company based in San Francisco and it produces virtual world Second Life. The Company revealed that the revamp will result in loss of job for its 30% employees.

The Company is planning to merge its product and engineering units into a single unit. There will also be other alterations in the structure of the Company like the renovation of its customer services team.

Mark Kingdon, CEO of Linden Lab, reveals that the Company has surfaced from a two year investment phase in which they devoted much time in improving the dependability and user experience on the whole. He further adds that the Company’s move of restructuring will be beneficial in making it more pleasurable and it will also be instrumental in attracting the customers.

According to Mr. Kingdon, it will also help the Company in investing money in transporting 3D to Web. This move will boost the income of the Company to a large extent.
