Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad could place 33% more students for jobs and saw an 11% rise in average salary in 2010 over year 2009. The institute had been found saying this to the media.
Dean Ajit Rangnekar said that their improvement had been significant as compare to the last year.
He said the batch of 2010 had 568 students and they witnessed offers from the top technological companies, consultancies, and finance .It was 11% 40%and 30% more respectively. They could be termed the largest recruits on campus.
He said the recruiters comprised of Citibank Amazon development centre India, United Health Group Dr. Reddy’s laboratories DBS Bank, Accenture Services, Arthur D. Little Asia, and Cognizant Technology Solutions.
Mr, Rangnekar said last year it was bad but was at per with 2007 ,2008 was very good as the companies were willing to pay far too much of money. 2009 was low .this years highlight was the recruitment from the green energy sector like Wipro Eco-business.
The average domestic cost to company has reached 16.7 lacs from 15.05 lacs which is 11%more. The average outgoing salary this year is double than the incoming salary. ISB secured 541 offers including 65 from international companies. They have extended their placement season till June this year to give more time to the companies and students to get the right match.
ISB usually announces placement results in April but for the last couple of years they are extending the placement season till June or July so that maximum number of students can acquire jobs.
