Yamaha grows by 32% in June


After banking on the premium segment for the past many months, Yamaha has recently entered into the entry-level segment with the YBR 110 and the response that it has been able to get from the Indian consumer is surely more than overwhelming.

It is to be mentioned here that the company has been able to sell close to 28,155 units in the month of June 2010, which is way up as compared to the 21,278 units, the two-wheeler major sold in June 2009, filing a rise of close to 32%.

Notably, out of the total sales, the domestic sales for the company stood at 21,157 units in June 2010 as compared to 17,878 units in the same month last year.

Moreover, the exports segment also grew by many folds as the company exported close to 6,998 units in June 2010 while 3,400 units were exported in June 2009.
