Microsoft sells 15,000 slim Xbox units in Japan at launch


Microsoft has claimed of selling 15,000 units of the new slimmer Xbox 360 units whilst its launch week in Japan.

Supposed to be the console's strongest week in the region it was further stated that a total of 17,370 Xbox 360s were sold in the country.

Also the last week reported of sales figure that boasted of just 2060 units, which in contrary is the weakest in terms of the Xbox's normal Japanese standards.

However it is being stated that the supposed reason for the same is because the console went on sale on the 24th, but the weekly figure is counted for four days worth of sales.

Meanwhile it was stated that Japan came up with a strong DS line sales that included DS Lite, DSi and DSi LL selling a combined 61,141 units.
